The lightning protection element tester is an instrument suitable for testing the DC parameters of overvoltage protection components such as zinc oxide arresters (zinc oxide valve plates and varistors).

It has functions such as memory, calculation, hold, self-check, and leakage alarm. It has high-voltage short-circuit protection, overcurrent protection, high-voltage preset, and other functions. The high-voltage self-discharge time is less than 5 seconds. The test results are displayed by two 3 1/2 LCD digital displays, one showing the voltage value and the other showing the current value, with high accuracy and good reliability. It can be used as an adjustable DC high-voltage source (1kV~10kV) with output current ≤1mA.
