Transformer Capacity and No-Load/Load Characteristic Tester

Transformer Capacity and No-Load/Load Characteristic Tester, also known as Transformer Copper and Iron Loss Tester, adopts low voltage and low current testing method, enhancing the safety of testing work. Meanwhile, the built-in power supply can provide large output power, ensuring the accuracy of test data and providing reliable signals for testing large-capacity transformers.

In addition to testing transformer capacity, load characteristic tests, and no-load characteristic tests, the Transformer Capacity and No-Load/Load Characteristic Tester can also meet the measurement of voltage, current, power, frequency, short-circuit impedance, and other transformer parameters. The instrument is small in size, light in weight, simple in wiring, convenient in operation, accurate in measurement, stable in performance, and easy to learn, making it an indispensable device for electricity inspection departments.

l Large screen, high brightness, wide temperature LCD display, all measurement data displayed on one screen, with Chinese information prompts. LCD brightness and contrast are adjustable, and it can be clearly displayed even in strong sunlight.

l The tester is equipped with a built-in micro printer, with Chinese character printing output, allowing test results to be printed directly on site.

l Built-in protection circuit to avoid instrument damage and personnel accidents.

l Long-life touch keys for easy operation; most operations can use default settings, with one-key operation throughout.

l Built-in high-energy power supply can complete all test items, and during on-site testing, the instrument does not need external power supply or auxiliary equipment such as voltage regulators and current boosters.

l Can test transformer capacity at non-rated tap positions.

l Simple wiring; only two wiring clamps are needed to complete the test, and the test does not distinguish phases; any two phases can be selected.

Functional Features


1. Can accurately measure the capacity of various distribution transformers, with passive measurement, convenient and accurate. 

  2. Can measure no-load current, no-load loss, short-circuit voltage, short-circuit loss, and zero-sequence impedance of various types of transformers. 

  3. Can automatically perform waveform distortion correction, temperature correction, voltage correction (no-load test at non-rated voltage), and current correction (short-circuit test at non-rated current). Operators only need to input the correction index according to the transformer type, and the instrument will automatically calculate the corrected results, which is very suitable for units that do not have conditions for short-circuit tests on slightly larger capacity transformers. 

  4. Allows external connection of voltage transformers and current transformers for extended range measurement, and can measure test objects of any parameters. 

  5. Wide voltage range: maximum voltage measurement up to 750V, ensuring accuracy without switching gears. It will not damage the instrument due to incorrect voltage gear selection. 

  6. Large screen, high brightness LCD display, full Chinese menu and operation prompts for friendly human-machine interaction, touch keys for easier operation, wide temperature LCD with brightness adjustment, adaptable to winter and summer seasons.

4. Other electrical measurements: voltage range 0~750V, accuracy class 0.2; current range 0~50A, accuracy class 0.2; frequency range 45~65Hz, accuracy class 0.2. All the above measurements can be completed by the built-in power supply.

5. Automatically complete temperature compensation of test data, converting data to values at rated temperature.

6. Built-in power supply capacity: 15AH, can continuously measure more than 100 transformers; output power 600W, can directly test large-capacity transformers such as 16000KVA.

7. The instrument provides test signals: AC voltage 40V, maximum current 15A, standard sine wave, distortion less than 1%.

8. Automatically determine and print out transformer model (high energy consumption and energy-saving types).

9. Has storage function, can store information of 100 transformers.

10. Equipped with special short-circuit clamps for testing, convenient wiring. For special requirements, optional 1000A short-circuit plates are available.

11. Insulation resistance between voltage and current input terminals and the casing is ≥500MΩ, and the working power input terminal can withstand an AC withstand voltage test of 2KV for 1 minute against the casing.

12. The instrument is small in size (400×320×180) and light in weight (less than 6 kg), easy to carry.
