DC resistance tester, also often referred to as a DC resistance rapid tester or micro-ohmmeter, is a precision instrument specifically used for accurately measuring the DC resistance of inductive loads such as transformer windings, motor coils, cable conductors, etc. It works by injecting a stable DC current into the object under test, measuring the voltage drop across it, and then calculating the resistance value according to Ohm's law (R=U/I).
